Bulldogs of English Health Guarantee

Your new puppy comes with a 1 year health guarantee.  He/She has been checked by a veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations and dewormings.  He/She will also be sent home with AKC documentation and health records.

All of our puppies are guaranteed to be in good health and free from visible signs of infection and contagious or communicable diseases at the time of purchase.  Bulldogs of English/Kolline Gibbs guarantees the puppy to be free of any life threatening congenital defects for one year after the date of birth.
Your puppy must be examined by a veterinarian within 48 hours from the time the buyer takes possession of the puppy.  If the buyer takes possession on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, the 48 hours will start on the following Monday.  It is my advice to make a veterinarian appointment before the puppy is taken from the home of Bulldogs of English/Kolline Gibbs.  If the puppy has not been examined by a veterinarian within 2 business days of the buyer taking possession, the health guarantee is VOIDED.

If within the first year of the puppy's life your veterinarian determines that there is a congenital life threatening issue, Bulldogs of English/Kolline Gibbs will provide a replacement puppy of equal value from a future littler. If Bulldogs of English/Kolline Gibbs has no planned breedings within one year or does not have access to another puppy within one year of the time your veterinarian has determined congenital life threatening issues, than Bulldogs of English/Kolline Gibbs will consider a partial / full refund.

The buyer must keep the puppy under the care of a licensed veterinarian, including all vaccinations and booster vaccinations, recommended hygiene care and any other preventative care recommended by a licensed veterinarian or this health guarantee will be voided.  If at any time this health guarantee needs to be implemented, the buyer must provide Bulldogs of English/Kolline Gibbs with all puppy medical records and a written statement from the attending licensed veterinarian. The statement must be on the veterinarian's letterhead and be either mailed or emailed directly from the licensed veterinarian to Bulldogs of English/Kolline Gibbs.  Should the puppy die, a necropsy report must also accompany the paperwork from the licensed veterinarian.

If the buyer has purchased the puppy with breeder rights, Bulldogs of English is not able to guarantee that the dog will be "breeding quality".  If a veterinarian determines that the dog is not physically sound enough to breed, Bulldogs of English/Kolline Gibbs will reimburse the difference between breeding price and pet price.  In order to be reimbursed, the buyer must have a licensed veterinarian submit a letter to Bulldogs of English/Kolline Gibbs detailing why the dog is not a good candidate for breeding.

There is no guarantee against parasites, viral infections, or bacterial infections.  There is no guarantee against allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demodectic mange or eye problems  (i.e. cherry eye, entropion, etc.).  There is no guarantee against joint disease including: elbow dysplasia, hip dysplasia, and cruciate ligament issues. There is no guarantee against prolapsed ureathra, elongated palate (elongated soft palate) or luxating patella. The buyer must research the breed and understand that the confirmation of the breed can predispose them to these issues.

Buyer is aware that this breed is prone to heat stroke and will provide a suitable environment that is healthy for their new puppy.  It is important to keep all facial folds and the tail pocket clean and dry at all times to prevent yeast and bacterial infections.  The buyer will keep their new puppy at a healthy weight to decrease the risk of bone and joint disease.  Buyer will keep their puppy out of public areas until at least 2 weeks after the last puppy vaccinations have been administered.  Reminder, bulldogs receive 4 sets of puppy vaccinations not including the rabies vaccination.

I have carefully read this document and agree to these terms.
